Out of Their Minds
Many times, in reference to teenagers, we use the phrase, “They have lost their Minds.” But have they? It is often hard to distinguish between typical mental health growing pains and clinical psychopathology. Teenagers are maturing physically, but they are also changing mentally. So how do we define mentally healthy teenagers? How do we know when to be concerned? How do we know when to refer out to a professional or when to have a conversation with parents? In this breakout, we will define mentally healthy teens. We will look at many mental disorders plaguing our youth today and discuss how to recognize these issues and offer help.
